Treadmill & Home Gym Rental in Korea for Foreigners | From ₩8,800/mo

Only some rental companies accept applications from foreigners. Products that accept them carry an 'Open to foreign applicants' label on the product page; products without that label are currently difficult for foreigners to apply for. Approval is decided by the rental company and confirmed during consultation. Korean nationals can apply for every product.

Footprint and noise are the two real constraints, and the second is the one people underestimate. Inter-floor noise is a well-known source of disputes in Korean apartment buildings, and a running machine transmits impact straight into the slab. If you are above a neighbour, treat a mat as part of the plan rather than an accessory, keep sessions out of late-night hours, and consider whether a bike or rowing machine — both far quieter — answers the same need. Check the folded dimensions in the listing against the space you actually have.

A treadmill is the closest substitute for outdoor running and the largest and loudest of the three. An exercise bike takes the least floor space, makes almost no impact noise, and is the usual choice in an upper-floor flat. A rowing machine is long but many models stand on end for storage. Prices in this collection start at ₩8,800 a month, and the lighter machines sit well below the median — worth knowing if you are unsure how much you will use it. General fitness questions are best put to a doctor or trainer; we can only tell you what is available to rent.

Moving within Korea is normally an address change reported to the rental company, though heavier machines make delivery arrangements worth asking about early. Ending early is the part to plan for: the contract length and any early-termination charge are set by each rental company, and SETKORA is not the contracting party. If your departure date is already fixed, raise it during consultation before you sign.

Mostly the name. You pay a monthly fee to use the appliance, and when the contract term ends you either keep it or return it. Korean brands label the same structure 'rental', 'subscription' or 'membership'. What actually differs is the contract length, the monthly fee and whether installation is included — that varies by product and is confirmed during consultation.

Most items listed here run on a 60-month contract; some are 36, 48 or 72 months. Cancelling early can trigger a settlement for the remaining term, and the amount and method follow the rental company's own terms. We confirm the exact contract conditions for your item during consultation, before you apply.
